Some vandals in St. Petersburg decided it would be a great April 1st prank to blow out Lenin's backside. This statue stands near a busy train station where throngs of people saw it first thing in the morning (photo by ITAR-TASS).
My favorite photo by far is the second one. This guy is determined to do a thorough examination!
